Test Drive Checklist: What to Look for When Buying a New Car

You don’t want to buy a new car without taking a test drive, but do you know what you should be looking for? Before You Leave the House

Your inspection process needs to begin before you ever step onto the dealer’s lot. Make a list of things you must have in the new car. While driving, check your visibility. Will you be able to see clearly around you? You’ll also want to check the acceleration of your vehicle. Will you be able to easily merge on a highway or will it be too much power for you?

Next, you will want to check the responsiveness. Are you able to steer comfortably? Does the vehicle drive straight when the wheel is held center? You’ll also want to feel secure when cornering. Once the test drive is over, just remember you are under no obligation to purchase the car. However, if you were impressed with the vehicle, it might just be time to begin the paperwork!
