The best waves of competition are arriving in Surf City USA. Close out the summer and kick off the surf season with a pair of family-friendly events in beautiful Huntington Beach. Both events occur in September.

Of course, you will also find a wide variety of food and snacks available at vendors and restaurants to help celebrate. It’s free to come and watch all the events, but there are entry fees that apply to the competitions. Check out the Surf City website for more information.

Does your dog love to hang 20? They can earn canine glory at the Surf City Surf Dog competition. This annual event is free to the public and not only features the best doggy-surfers riding the waves, but also is a great opportunity to support local animal charities and adoption programs. You may enter your dog into the tournament or just bring them along for a day of fun in the sun. Food trucks will offer up plenty of delicious snacks while vendor booths will offer pet health tips, dog adoption services, and information about a variety of rescue organizations. If you want to compete, make sure to pre-register to save your spot at Surf City Surf Dog.
